Chelsea’s new policy of signings during the recent years.
Over the past few years, Chelsea’s transfer policy has drawn a lot of criticism. The team has however, added several outstanding young players, even though they have undoubtedly made their share of bad acquisitions and possibly even sold some players they shouldn’t have. In the upcoming years, Jorrel Hato, Estevao, and Andrey Santos might all step up and guide the club to true success. Many people believe that the latter gem in particular will become a superstar in the future, but it appears that the club has now secured the future of a young player who may be the rival of Lamine Yamal’s in the future and at least as good.
It’s not Estevao??
In the summer of 2024, Chelsea outbid several other elite European teams to recruit Estevao, but the young Brazilian had to wait another year to join Maresca’s team because of his age. With 12 goals and five assists in 37 games for Palmeiras last season, the teenage wonder made some good impact during his time back home. His overall production with the team was an incredible 27 goals and 15 assists in 83 games. The Brazilian jewel has quickly shown English football fans why he is so highly regarded and considered a potential Ballon d’Or winner since joining.
The future rival to Lamine Yamal.
In February of this year, the Blues reached an agreement to pay approximately €4 million (roughly £3.5 million) to sign the highly promising prospect from Kazakhstani side Kairat Almaty. But just like Estevao, he won’t be able to join the team until he turns 18, which will be on August next year. Dastan Satpayev is the next gem that everyone may be talking about, and Chelsea shows no signs of slowing down their chase of some of the most exciting young players in international football. The 17-year-old is currently making news since he played against Real Madrid and Sporting CP on his Champions League debut. With three goals and one assist in the seven qualifying matches, the youthful player was instrumental in the team’s victory over Celtic to advance.
Stats of Dastan Satpayev till now.
There is a great deal of anticipation about what the Almaty-born talent, a potential rival to Lamine Yamal, might achieve in the coming years. He hasn’t shown any signs of being even somewhat turned off by senior football, which may seem like too much pressure to place on a young talent like him. He has made 30 appearances this season, which is about 2146 minutes, and has contributed 13 assists and 8 goals. Fun fact is that he is only 17 years old, and he has maintained an average goal involvement rate of 1.42 games, or every 102 minutes.
