Arsenal fans have been patiently waiting and longing for an update from the reputed Fabrizio Romano regarding the all-important Bukayo Saka contract. The fever about the contract really intensified when two sources produced stories that indicated a possibility of an agreement already reached between Bukayo Saka and Arsenal. The two sources, which claimed the agreement, are The Daily Briefing and RMC Sport. Rumours and other sources aside, it is still Fabrizio Romano’s news updates that always rank as the most reliable among the fans. The Italian has also stated that an agreement is not close to being reached, contrary to what the sources say but he has clearly insisted that it wouldnโt take long before a deal is struck.
Fabrizio Romano’s take on Bukayo Saka’s contract extension
โThe agreement is at the final stages. Saka wants to stay;ย Arsenalย wants Saka to be an important player for their project. So I donโt see any issue, I donโt see any problem. And, I think, as I already told you earlier on the channel. Bukayo Sakaย will put pen to paper and sign a new contract atย Arsenalย until June 2030. So, the agreement is very, very close.โ These were the exact words of Fabrizio Romano, when he talked about Bukayo Saka’s contract updates. Now this is some great news for the Gunners, despite Romano not completely confirming the contract being signed. The Arsenal faithful will take this news with both hands.
To Arsenal fans’ joy and celebration, the transfer mastermind did not stop there and further went on to provide other contract updates. He included the names of Arsenal stars Declan Rice and Jurien Timber, claiming that the pair were also extremely close to signing fresh new contracts with Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka’s importance amidst Fabrizio Romano updates
He is one of their own, their star boy, their poster boy. And the boy the Gunners have seen from his youth days. Bukayo Saka has eloquently developed into one of the world’s best from being a very timid, quiet teenager with truckloads of talent. Perhaps, most of the Arsenal fans wouldn’t have guessed his greatness back then, but some would’ve for sure. Those “some” would be over the moon by now, watching that teenager grow into such a mammoth talent. Bukayo Saka is probably standing out from the crowd of talents by upholding a quality that is most required: consistency. He has effortlessly remained a consistent contributor to the extremely successful Arsenal quartet in recent times. A bit of credit must go the the manager, Mikel Arteta as well. He is the man who has monitored, mentored, and developed Saka’s game to the next level.
Author’s Opinion
All of this makes one thing super clear and of utmost priority. Bukayo Saka HAS to sign that contract and MUST remain at the club until that magic number of 2030. Arsenal wouldn’t and shouldn’t risk one bit when it comes to this deal, as this Arsenal super team could collapse like dominoes if they lose Saka. The Englishman’s importance doesn’t simply limit itself to his game; it goes beyond that. He represents the club. Nevertheless, with Romano pretty much confirming the deal should massively boost the morale of the Gunners.
Conclusion
It is a fact that there has been an abundance of new contracts taken care of for the Gunners to feast upon, and it cannot be doubted that they must be living large. At present, they are leading in the Premier League as well. As per Fabrizio Romano the deal isn’t done just yet, but he seems to be dropping a lot of hints that Bukayo Saka will stay. Looks like Saka wonโt leave North London till 2030, at least. To be fair, for all itโs optimism, Arsenal fans are being helped up right now by Romano massively.
